And We are Back!

Hello Friends ... if there are any out there still reading ....

I know it has been months since my last post but seriously life was not that interesting and then it got interesting and then I forgot to write about it. BUT IM BACK! And this next segment of blogging is going to be about the travels west. Yes that is right - Pav takes on America Part 2. I will be taking a week to travel out west and plan on doing some mountain climbing, camping, people meeting, food eating, and fun time wedding celebrating.

So hopefully if there is anyone out there reading still - please join me on my most excellent adventure. However as a side note - the Goose will not be joining me on my most excellent adventure. Not cool - I know but Aunt Jenn is taking care of her and since I will be gone for 2 weeks and not 2 months it made more sense to leave her be.

The Good Ol South - Home Again

Hey y'all!! I am finally back in the south once again and what a road trip! I think it was something like 2,000 miles that good ol Mary Sue the 'Roo covered on this leg of the trip. I will be posting pictures and filling y'all in on how the Goose and I came home.

I'll give you this ... we started in Boulder - headed north to South Dakota - headed east to Chicago - picked up the roomie in Chicago - drove south to NC - just to drive across the state and back north to the Virginia border to go to the lake for the night. I mean when you have already been in the car for 11 hrs what's another 2 ?! Especially when cold beers, a hot tub, and great friends await you!

Okay tonight I will go into further explanation - right now I need to start unpacking and get to the grocery store.

Monday Happenings / Catch up Part 2

Okay so here are some pictures from New Year's ... Peaches, Roomie, and I headed down to Charleston to ring in the New Year with my brother and friends. We had a blast to say in the least. Thank goodness we came back on Saturday, because I needed Sunday to recover. So without further adue I give you New Years 2009:

Oh yes - we drove all the way to Charleston, SC to see Who's Bad - the Micheal Jackson Cover Band. A bit of a last minute decision in the plan but we all had an awesome time.

We spent some time wandering around on King Street where we stopped by my Uncle's sandwich shop for a quick bit to eat.

Im headed off to nursing school in January - I've been out of college for 2 years and I am quite excited about this life change especially considering some other life changes I have been going through (one of them -I am now single for the first time in years - my point nothing is holding me back). Anyways I was playing around on google this morning and I have been really toying with the idea of doing something with really meaningful with my life once I graduate from nursing school. Okay where is she going with this? Well after I graduated from college (round 1) I went to Kenya on a medical mission trip and loved it. Now Im thinking after round 2 perhaps I can do something such as ...

Doctors without Boarders ...or Red Cross International ... I dont know ... like I said Im toying with these ideas and I have some time before any decisions are made. Regardless if Goose and I dont end up Sri Lanka - perhaps I can do the travel nursing gig for a bit. Travel nurses make fantastic money and basically are placed all around the United States for 6-8 week periods. Great way to see the country and be paid for it.
