Well blog friends I have some fun news to share with y'all. Come the end of May, the Goose and I will be packing up our bags and headed to...

We are going to Boulder, CO! Catherine and Mandy have opened up their home to us and we will be staying with them this summer. Boulder is one of my favorite places to visit - I just love it - especially in the summer. Okay since I will be out west for an extended time anyone have some ideas for fun places to travel to on the weekends?

Snow Days!

Um, so I might be a couple of days behind on uploading my pictures from our magnificent snow day we had on Tuesday...but its better late then never! I woke up at 2:30 AM to see if was snowing - it had not started, however by the time 7:15 rolled around...Winter wonderland!

Lucy had never seen snow like this before and at first she was a bit hesitant about going outside but then she became obsessed! We played outside all morning with the neighbors and their dogs.

Christmas Card '09?

After playing outside all morning the Virginian and his roommate came over. We all sat around playing board games and enjoyed a few beverages. After some intense rounds of games and drinking it was time for some nourishment. And what would be better on a cold winter day then some chicken pot pie! Check out my creation...

100th Post

Whoot! Whoot! Look at Pav go!!! Actually I have been blogging for how long? And I am just now reaching 100? Hopefully with the next 100 I will become a bit more speedy.

New Relationships

Okay so I have been wanting to post this for awhile ... however I get a bit scared when it comes to my personal personal life about sharing. I know - what is a blog for if you can't express yourself? Well when you know there are people out there reading it that have no business doing so (hhmm) you tend to hold back on the happenings and whatnot's of your personal life. But tonight I am saying to hell with it - I really could care less anyways and its time to share with my fellow blog friends.

About a month ago I met someone at a Christmas Party... now you know how they say when you least expect it or when you are not looking that is when you will meet someone? Well how true that saying is...thank goodness this was not some tacky sweater party and I was actually dressed up and looking hot. (Thank you JCrew gold polka dot pencil skirt.) Okay so anyways the roomie realized she recognized someone she knew from back in the day but could not remember his name - being several drinks in and having no problem walking up to strangers, I volunteered my sleuth skills ie - walk up to this individual who I've never met and introduce myself - I mean he was tall and really cute so why the heck not. Well after exchanging names we just started chatting and chatting....by the end of the evening he asked for number and I gave it to him - though I doubted I would hear from him. I figured he was just being polite. Well the next evening I get a call to see what I was doing for the evening. We ended up meeting up a local bar where shocker we talked till last call. He then asked if we could dinner and of course I agreed!

We went to dinner and had the best time...I kept thinking during dinner - is this for real? I have this check list in my head of things that make or break a date and well he was getting all checks. Since the first dinner date we have had many others - all which have been great. The Virginian is a complete gentleman - polite (opens up car doors - yah I was shocked as well), thoughtful, intelligent, and funny. Ah yes, he is a good ol boy from Virgina - complete with Robert E Lee hanging in his house and cuff links to boot - his defense, well Bobby was the founding father of his fraternity so I mean he means alot more. (right, right) And to top it off - Ms Lucy is obsessed with him. When he comes over she will sit beside him and talk and talk. It is so funny - I need to upload a video of her.

Okay well I think that is enough when it comes to the true insights of my personal life...

My first tagging/award!

I was tagged by Well, that's just Fabulous! And I must say I am a bit excited...because I have never been tagged before or won anything and now I get both in one swoop. I was awarded The Honest Scrap Award and now I get to tag 10 others. So here goes bloggers....

here are the rules.......

1. choose and minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design

2. show the 7 winners names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were prized with "honest scrap." well, there's no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.

3. least at least 10 honest things about yourself

My Top 10 Honest Things:

1.) I am terrible with dates and commitments. I have this problem where I say yes to anything and everything before realizing that maybe something else is going on! I'm trying to get better - hence I bought a planner and have started writing everything down.

2.) I love to entertain and throw parties. It gives me an excuse to make appetizers which I love.

3.) I squeeze my toothpaste from the top...not the bottom. I know - it makes for a mess later on but I still do it that way.

4.) I hate throwing things away - school binders, mail, the list goes on.

5.) I love to read - for pleasure. The Nursing School books not so much.

6.) Back in the day I used ride horses and compete every other weekend. I miss it terribly but hopefully (when I am making money rather then spending it) I will get back into the sport.

7.) My closet is organized according to color and like Fabulous - if my closet had the door on it would be closed - especially when I am sleeping!

8.) I love College Football and Basketball - the only things I truly love about it getting cold.

9.) Nothing delights me more then cracking open a delicious beer or pouring a glass of wine and sitting outside on warm summer nights with friends.

10.) I spent a month in Kenya and cannot wait to go back - cross fingers it happens Summer of 2010. :)

Okay now to pass the fun along ....

1.) Catherine and Oliver

2.) Allison and Will

3.) M& J

4.)Barefoot Bird

5.) Coco's Cuckoo

6.) Well I do Declare

7.) Just for Yu

Monday Happenings / Catch up Part 2

Okay so here are some pictures from New Year's ... Peaches, Roomie, and I headed down to Charleston to ring in the New Year with my brother and friends. We had a blast to say in the least. Thank goodness we came back on Saturday, because I needed Sunday to recover. So without further adue I give you New Years 2009:
The Girls!

Oh yes - we drove all the way to Charleston, SC to see Who's Bad - the Micheal Jackson Cover Band. A bit of a last minute decision in the plan but we all had an awesome time.

We spent some time wandering around on King Street where we stopped by my Uncle's sandwich shop for a quick bit to eat.

Photo Op - in front of a hotel that I can not remember the name of...

Oh Charleston ...

Friday Catch Up

Okay I thought I would play a much delayed game of catch up... and what better why to do this then pictures!

For Christmas we (and by we, I mean my brother) fried a TURKEY! It was very very delicious.

The weekend following Christmas, Catherine, Mandy, Lucy and I headed down to Wilmington. And who did we find?! Will! Okay so we didnt so much find him - it was more like we had a fantastic breakfast together before Will hit the road. After breakfast we went to the beach - Catherine had not seen the big 'ol Atlantic Ocean in years and it was Lucy's first time at the beach! She (Lucy) was a hoot...she had a blast.
This is going to be our Christmas card picture for next year - what do y'all think?

After running around on the beach all day we headed back into Wilmington to go to dinner with Allison! But before we went to dinner the two gooses got play! They love each other..well I think Lucy might love Gracie a little bit more.

Here is a picture of my Boulder Girls!

Okay - off to dinner... next segment will be New Years.

Whoo Wee...

The past week/end have just flown by...and as I sit here typing I am feeling very guilty because I have my first project for Nursing School (due Wednesday) that needs whole lot more attention then my blog does. BUT - I feel so disconnected from y'all - especially since I'm not bringing my computer to class (I thought if I did it would be a big distraction) so I do not check anything (facebook, gmail, blogs) until I get home at night and even then I have to much other stuff - homework, Lucy, etc. to pay attention too. (I think that was the longest run-on sentence ever - I am sorry to all the English majors out there.)

Okay so recap - Nursing School: I AM LOVING IT. I know it is only week 2 but seriously yall I found my passion. I can not wait to get to clinicals (which start in February!) to beging working with patients. On the other side of the honeymoon that I am with nursing school - this is going to be by far one of the hardest things I have done. School is umm a bit demanding and everyone keeps telling me that it is only going to get worse. But you know what? Right now I'm just going to bottle up my emotions and hold onto them for those days when I'm screaming and yelling WHY DID I DO THIS!?!??!

Friday- I babysat for one of the surgeons who works at my old hospital. The children are spawns of satan and I mean that in the nicest way possible. They are truly darlin' but evil.

Saturday - Workout, homework, and engagement party. Barefoot, the Badger, and others put together a fantastic party for a wonderful couple. The food was delicious and the decorations great!

Sunday - I worked at the Stationary store with one of my favorite employees - so work went by super fast. Then I headed off to play DODGE BALL! That's right the Kickball team has turned a new leaf and we are now playing dodge ball. And to be honest - I'm not sure how I feel about balls being hurled at my head. The boys are alot bigger and stronger and it still really hurts when they throw them!
